To Ontario Pickleball Players Join, "the Drive to 1000."

On April 25th - last Saturday, at the Kelowna , 4th annual , round robin, non-sanctioned tournament,
www.pickleballcanada.org. was born . Of the 32 registered players, 29 joined Pickleball Canada . That number as of today, is nearing 50. We hope that by year's end and with YOUR HELP, Pickleball Canada will have 1000 members.

Check out the website and send us your comments please.

Club conveners and organizers, you can download the welcome letter, the application form with the volunteer information for use with your members .

There is a contest starting today, that will award $ 200.00 to the centre or club that signs up the most members. The completed forms and fees are to be sent to the listed PO Box, at the bottom of the form.

Why Join ? For some time now people have been asking for a national association where players from across Canada might dialogue on topics, issues, rules, and coaching methods from other places in our sport. On the home page you will find a line that says forum. Add your comments and check to see the comments of others.

In addition, each member will receive a magnetized name tag with PB CANADA on it and a small maple leaf. In addition, each member will receive a free CD produced by Telus and MZTV in Toronto and features our senior center and local elementary school. The 6 minute video shows seniors, teachers and kids playing and being interviewed on the game of Pickleball. This is for your own use with friends and family or teaching in your area. Please enjoy the site as it continues to develop.

Join, "the march to 1000 members", by signing up today! Click on the following link to print the registration form, Membership Application Pickleball Canada, and mail to the address listed at the bottom.

Senior games are an excellent way to promote Pickleball, the game with the weird name.

Pickleball Ontario

To conform to the naming strategy of the new Pickleball Association of Canada, Pickleball Canada, I have changed the name of this site to Pickleball Ontario.

This site will work hand-in-hand with Pickleball Canada as an affliated site. Links to both sites will be posted to the respective Website and blog. The more information about this great game we can disseminate the better.

If there is anyone out there that reads this blog and can help me with an apporpriate logo, please get in touch. Better yet, if there is a web designer that loves Pickleball enough to donate his or her time to create a website, come on down! rwroswell@gmail.com

Pickleball Canada Launched Today

Exciting News For Pickleball Players in Ontario and All of Canada!

I am pleased in inform all Pickleball players in Ontario that Pickleball Canada officially launched today. This will become the souce of all Pickleball information for all of Canada.
Pickleball Canada will be Canada's version of the USAPA. This an exciting time for this great game that is taking Canada by storm. As our logo states we will be promoting the game to all ages not just 50+ communities.
There are many differences in the way the game is structure and played in Canada. We play primarily indoors in recreation centres. There are few, if any gated communites with Pickleball courts, so it is truly a game for all. Pickleball Canada will attempt to address the needs of Canadian players.
Thanks to Christopher Tuff, the web designer, our website is up and running. There is a long way to go but thanks to the hard work of Christopher, Chuck Lefaive, and others, the site was launched today.
Click on the logo above to have a look. Bookmark, for future reference. There will be more articles posted in the coming days.

Coaching with Mo

One of the best Pickleball coaches in Florida has a website that he maintains absolutely free. He has just added some videos that go with his lessons. I have added these videos to the video bar on the right side.

You are never to old or experienced to learn more. Have a look at the teaching of the best coach at The Villages, Florida. The price is right as well. Visit Mo's site, for more good tips and information.
